Laurel MacDonald
Musician / Composer, This is my Math Dance
Laurel MacDonald is a singer, composer and video artist based in Toronto, who integrates her solo voice with live electronics and projected visuals. She also composes music for film and contributes to contemporary dance productions as a composer and performer. Recent projects include the score for the dance film Love Learn Listen by Fujiwara Dance Inventions, as well as her own new solo work I Eat the Stars, which premiered in late 2021 as part the 20th Anniversary NAISA SOUNDplay festival. Upcoming projects include co-composing the music with Phil Strong for a film series entitled Kitchen Dances, a Kaeja d'Dance production, as well as contributing music for Sara Porter’s film This is my Math Dance created in collaboration with Vicky Fagan in 2021.
